Clothing - Women and Children

10TH VIRGINIA REGIMENT   Guide for Camp Follower Clothing 
Purpose: To list the types of information needed to research and document a basic impression.
Instructions: Each article of clothing must have the following aspects listed;
  1. Style or Make; the unit will list a set of documented stock clothing patterns appropriate for the
time period and ethnic makeup of the unit. Members may research clothing styles on their own provided they fit with the general unit impression.
  1. Fabric: textile or fiber type , plus a description of the weave or texture if appropriate.
  2. Color: note if the item is solid, checked, striped etc.
Clothing Articles may include: Hat, Cap, Chemise or Shift, Bodice, Short Gown, Petty Coat,
Stockings, Shoes, Handkerchief, Apron, Stays, Pockets
Accouterments may include: knapsack (military of civilian), knife, haversack, etc.

Fabric: Linen Cambric Baize (a type of wool flannel)
Color: Solid White Red
